Yeah....I agree...but what if it's really been David Carr all along? We'll know....finally this season.

Then, hypothetically...the Bears would too be insane to have let Griese play and even this off-season, go as far as entertain the possibility of bringing in another QB to challenge Rex at his position. From what I'm interpreting...Rex has no reason to even be challenged or have his team, coaching staff, fans and the media even contemplate that scenario.

Going even further...the Texans should look at attaining the likes of Kurt Warner, Drew Bledsoe....or even maybe trying to snatch up Brad Johnson...I dont' know......instead of seeking a player like Plummer? Afterall....Warner, Bledsoe and Johnson have excelled more than Plummer has...
1) man, you're really digging on the hyperbole here.

2) all better than huard, anyway.

3) plummer had his team in position to make the playoffs just last year before being yanked.

4) grossman sucks.

Hey...I was just going by what you stated.

1) Plummer's got raw skill (with that many years in the league???) and can limit the number of turnovers in the right system.

Even in the right system, or what's catered best to his style until now....he hasn't been able to limit the mistakes when crunch time comes. I don't want a QB here who's knees have buckled under pressure. We've had that for our entire short history.

2) You also said he's taken a team to the playoffs. Add to how IYO Grossman sucks.

Well...I really believe that if Huard had stayed in, he would've taken the Chiefs into the playoffs. There's a huge difference in actually making it to the playoffs versus getting in cause others lost. If you can recall...they were basically given that playoff spot. Now, you say Plummer taken his team to the playoffs...but I don't think he's won more than 1 single playoff game his entire time in Denver. That win against the Patriots......and that was only cause Brady threw 4 INTs in that game, also because Bailey ran it back for a TD. If I'm not mistaken....Grossman has taken his team to the playoffs, won 2 playoff games in his first full season......yet he sucks but I would be insane in not wanting someone who hasn't even matched what Grossman's done even with the amount of time he's been in the league.

You said Plummer was in a position to take his team to the playoffs. Now, I'm not trying to be argumentative. Really....I'm trying to make sense of what you're saying and it just doesn't fit. See...how could he be in a position to take the team to the playoffs if he couldn't even take that doubt off his coaches minds, if he couldn't eliminate the "start Cutler" chants from the fans, how could he lead a team into the playoffs when he couldn't even secure his spot at QB. Grossman never had his coaching staff doubt him. Second....not only did Grossman do what Plummer was in a position to do but couldn't, on top of that...he helped get his team to the Super Bowl.

Back to Huard however... I know he doesn't have all the accolades, the playoff appearances, and what not. But...he's a very mature player. He's a veteran with the experience neccessary and this past season showed what I thought of him back 2 seasons ago. He's been in the league for a while now, moving from one place to another. Seeing him perform as well as he did this season, seeing his poise, his pocket-presence, the whole nine....I said, "wow"....he's ready! 11:1 TD ratio with almost 2,000 yards in 8 starts? You kidding me?

Am I nuts or wasn't he Jake the Snake in Arizona who had numerous last quarter comebacks?

When it's mattered most...he's been lackluster. With a much better team than the Cardinals...where he was thought to excell, "surely"....he couldn't do what the team and coaching staff needed him to do. In the playoffs...he's buckled.

But...truth is, the Texans need someone who can even begin to have a winning season....we can't even begin to talk playoffs right now. In case we do however....we know Plummer won't cut it. It's why he's also referred to Jake "The Mistake" Plummer.

Again, am I nuts or is this the same Huard who had a shot at being the QB in Miami and... well... now he is a backup in KC? and did not even play a game the last two years? and barely played in three years in New England? Of course that is not a fair criticism because of Brady.

Ouch. Not very nice. A fan is a fan no matter how bad the team.

I hear a bandwagon coming, perhaps you should hop on it?
Hes not stupid; hes a true fan. They said the same about Saints fans and look at this season, the naysayers are all of a sudden saying "OMG the Saints are awesome! I've been a fan all my life!" Same with the Colts, I was teased back when the Colts sucked because I still wore a Colts jacket, now I get to kick those same douchebags off the bandwagon that they've wanting to jump on.

Hey man...that's why I made the thread. Speak your mind. I'm open to all your input. That's a good perspective BTW.
