Default Big Hurt in T.O.

Frank Thomas a.k.a the Big Hurt was signed to the Jays a few days ago... if he plays anywhere near as good as he did last season, the Jays will have one of the best lineups in baseball...

Wells, Glaus, Overbay, Thomas, Rios... watch out.

That's what people have been saying since last off-season. I'm a Jays fan but I'll believe it when I see it.

Good for you guys....I sure as hell wish Ken Williams (Sox GM) would've not been such a d*ck to him when he was in Chicago and assisted in kicking him out of town....gotta love the Hurt

Umm, they did have one of the best batting lineups in baseball last year... especially considering their low team salary.

Toronto 87-75 .537

Low team salary doesn't mean shit when you're still not making the playoffs.

Umm, playing in the AL East means the Jays are probably not gnna make the playoffs for a few more years, especially now that the Tigers are good.
But they did finish with a better record than the RedSox last season...

The Red Sox fell apart last season, that's not much of an accomplishment. Not to mention Jay attendance was still lower than projected regardless of the fact that they took such drastic strides in the off-season.

All I'm saying is that the Blue Jays made more signings than this last year and only improved by a few games (and those can probably be attributed to a healthy Roy Hallady). I'm not getting excited over a signing like Thomas until I see the results.
