Default As a proud NFL Network viewer....

I'm giving some publicity to the nice little challenge they've put up. Pretty neat, IMO.

Check it out, give it a try...

As a feeble Time Warner subscriber, I'm gonna keep up my calls and emails before I cancel their service.

I finally backed my words and switched, after having threatened Time Warner numerous times to offer the NFL Network as part of the packages that offered ESPN. Said that I wouldn't switch if they even dared charge another penny to have NFL Network. It would be an insult, for them to offer the NFL Network for a premier price. It's a regular ol' channel on DirecTV and Dish Network....so I'd expect the same out of T.W.

They didn't listen, they didn't care. I'm not kidding....DirecTV is hot! It lacks nothing on T.W., if anything...from what I've experienced....DTV is better....but you have to consider the fact that I factor in NFL Network in this. NFL 24-7, you kidding me? You own me!

Comcast has it as a digital cable normal channel as well as on the Digital Sports Tier for some reason. So I get two NFL Networks, 1 CSTV, and 1 NBATV. Not that Im complaining. I can't wait for the Big Ten Network to go online next year.

Only thing Comcast doesnt have going for it is the lack of Sunday Ticket .

No NFL network for me. Regular cable, no digital box, no cool channels.

Maybe someday...

No kidding! Man, T.W. could learn a thing from Comcast!

In regards to the Sunday Ticket....I don't need that one bit. I'm a local guy so I'm good. There's plenty of football on ESPN, ESPN2, FOX Sports, and NFL Network to hold me over.

i personally don't like the NFL Network taking over games.. Only 30 million homes get the channel if they can afford it.. that is only roughly 1/3 of the people in America.. I like the network for it's extra programming.. but let's stick the games on the major networks... please..

I won't disagree with that.

I think games will still be shown in the local markets over the air, like they do for ESPN games.

I personally could careless, if it is not the Steelers playing than I usually either do not watch another game or it is just back ground noise while doing something else.

I barely even payed attention to the Eagles getting their ass whooped last night. I am just not a sports fanatic like Rafsta is (loser).

Cablevision/Adelphia/Time Warner never offered me anything for free. When things get added, the price goes up. I've watched it happen since 1980.

What has got my panties in a bunch is the argument that I'm seeing on my local channels. They have this demure "spokesgal-waif" explaining how your grandmother is going to have to pay for the NFL. Poor freaking Grandma. She's going to have to "foot the bill" for sports-junkies and degenerates like me. Damn. No more Boniva for the geriatrics. ...That made me think.

#1. Who does this really come down on? Do we blame the evil cable companies or the monster NFL entity? No matter who we blame, the fans "pay" again. Whether a lockout or a strike; whether a rainout or time-change; whether a 'sin-tax' or a property-tax inrease? ...we all pay.

#2. This whole "bleeding heart Gramma" bull$h!t is an insult to my intelligence. Tell Grandma that you "feel for her" next month when her bill goes up ten bucks without added services. P.S.: The "Games in Joe's Ass Channel" and the "Knitting Network" don't count as "free added services".

#3. Since I have the NBA network and Time Warner's demure waif has tried to explain to me that Grandma doesn't want to pay for my new, shiny "Sports Package", how come I still get NBATV? How come I still get six College Stations? How's come I get Cavaliers games on basic cable when Grandma doesn't know Kareem Abdul Jabbar from Creme de Menthe? That old broad wouldn't know MTV from an EKG.

#4. I'm ranting. It is fun. It doesn't make much sense for you, at times, but my fingers are moving and it is good for me. Seriously. I haven't mauled anyone for months.

#5. Cleveland has the best fans.

#6. I'm pissed. I'm seriously pissed.

#7. I cry into my pillow, sometimes.

#8. Sometimes.

#9. I would just like to know who I should complain to in this matter. I happen to believe that Time Warner can make this happen without appealing to "The Grandma Bull$h!t". I'm hoping that the NFL is being reasonable, even though they are Clearly in the driver's seat.

#10. Five days and twelve hours to "Winter Owners Meetings" in New York! Two-and-one-half months 'till pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training!

10.5 -remain positive unless you have to disembowel someone. Bereaeve efficiently. Carry on immediately.

#11. Enjoy a fine salad.

LOL @ Slap. Have some football, get the NFL Network.

Nah, truth is, I got the NFL Network for the off-season really. When that football drought kicks in, I go into a depresing state. During the season, you have local NFL coverage on the local team, you have ESPN, ESPN2, FOX Sports, FOX, and CBS giving NFL coverage....you don't really need the NFL Network. But...again, when that off-season kicks in....hoooohoooo am I in trouble.

Now with DirecTV and the NFL Network, problem solved.

But, that wasn't the point of the thread. It was to let you guys know about that little challenge they have up for the games broadcast on the NFL Network, which would be 8 starting last Thursday and on to the end of the season.

Last week I chose Larry Johnson, as did many others. I did good as he was the outstanding player in that game so that was a prudent choice. I'd have to go in there and see who I chose for this upcoming game of the Ravens @ Bengals game. I believe I chose Lewis as the Bengals run D is very suspect. For the remainder of the season...I can't pick a RB as the two slots I've made picks on.

I really, REALLY hate NFL network. Every time I see a game on at a different time (Thanksgiving night, Thursday), I get excited. Then, I check all the normal NFL channels and realize it's on NFL Network.

That sucks.

I beg to differ....but then again, I am a subscriber.

As I'm writing this, I'm watching it all over again. I recorded on DVR.

Not only that...but the game will make it's way to "NFL Replay". Now that is da bomb there. You have to check that out....friends house or whatever, a bar perhaps...I don't know. You'll love it. It's awesome how they do that NFL Replay of the game. I'll be seeing it 3 times when you see it zero times.

In the words of Lightning McQueen, "Kachow!"
