Default Michigan @ Ohio St.

Oooooo....this is like a early Rose Bowl Championship treat one month early. Seriously...these two teams are the best in the nation, IMO. Because of this...we won't have 2 undefeated teams playing for the National Championship perhaps.

It's going to be a great game.

well you never know, maybe the winner of this could play an undefeated RUTGERS team, lol. With a few of the top 12 teams losing this past weekend, if a couple of the others lose, Rutgers could seriously have a legit shot at getting in that game. For instance, Florida almost lost, and should have lost. If they would have, and Rutgers runs the table, they should go ahead of florida. I hope USC, Notre Dame, Florida, and I forget who else is up there, loses.

Actually in the remaining weeks there are a lot of games between the top 8-10 teams. Like you said, Ohio St. plays Michigan. I believe USC plays Notre Dame. Rutgers plays West Virginia. And I think Florida plays someone.

I thought Notre Dame and USC had lost a game already. And even if they haven't...they face some stiff competition heading into the closing weeks of the season so it's possible that both teams in the championship aren't undefeated.

Edit: Hey...I just checked. Notre Dame and USC have indeed lost a game.

probably won't happen.

if USC wins out, then they are playing the winner.. they play #17 Cal, #6 Notre Dame, Notre Dame's only tough game is USC.. Rutgers plays #8 WVU..

USC wins moves up to #2
USC loses Florida moves to #2, Notre Dame moves #3 since they have easy games...
Rutgers only shot is if Notre Dame beats USC, then loses their last game.. Florida has to lose to Western Carolina or Fla St and Arkansas has to lose to LSU.. and then maybe Michigan or Ohio St.might be back to number 2.. who knows

yea they have, but even with their 1 loss they would go ahead of rutgers most likely if they won out so you'd get an Ohio St. or Michigan versus one of those one loss teams like Notre Dame or USC for the national title game. Some of those 1 loss teams would have to lose a 2nd time for Rutgers to have almost an undeniable shot at the title game. If everyone wins out, Rutgers won't reach that game.

EDIT for DJ: yea, thats why I was hoping "The Ol Coach" Spurrier would get his team to pull out that W against Florida. That would have put Rutgers ahead of florida IMO. Florida losing to a non ranked team at home, that woulda hurt. Damn FG kicker. Actually, they had them beat with a pass inside the 5yd line at the end, but got called back for some bull like illegal shift.

Yeah...too many games to tell. The race looks interesting though...neither of those teams, regardless of having a loss or not, are out of it just yet.

Yup...precisely why I was saying that we might see an undefeated team versus a 1 or 2 loss team in the championship or even two teams with at least 1 loss in the big bowl.

2 loss team? thats ridiculous. its osu/mich winner versus norte dame/usc winner, unless usc loses the week before, in which case florida gets it, unless they lose at fsu or the sec championship game against arkansas, then either rutgers or arkansas gets it (depending on who wins out), and then it falls back to the loser of umich/ohio st.

you see how much simpler i've made it?

Rutgers is actually ranked as the #2 team by the computers.

I don't normally watch college football, but I think I'm going to watch this game! You already know who I am rooting for.

well i didn't actually say they did or didn't have a harder schedule.

I was just stating that the computers have Rutgers ranked #2. But if you want to be technical, its the computer ranking that takes into account the strength of schedules. So Rutgers must have done something right.

Hopefully Cal beats USC, then USC beats ND. Arkansas beats Florida, and then should play against OSU/UM. That would be a fun game to watch.

why would you want to see a rematch?? I'd rather see someone take on the winner...just for the pure fact that they'd get a shot at them..
