So to you hockey fans out there, tell me this:

Does the season ever fucking end? Everytime I watch sportscenter there are hockey highlights. Football season, basketball season, Nascar season, baseball season, it doesn't matter. There are hockey highlights EVERY SINGLE TIME.

hockey players never rest, watch out if you see one in the produce section at the grocery store. they'll take you out into the carrots.

the fylers trading for the FA rights of Hartnell and that one defenseman was a interesting move, but the contracts they did/might offer them is way too much. Seems like a Hatcher all over again.

i will defend those contracts. hartnell was asking for 3.5 from nashville, and he really wanted to stay there. he would have gotten 4.2 on the open market. and kimmo's contract is front loaded, so if he loses a step in 4 years, we can pawn him off to another team, and they'll only take a 2.5 cap hit. in the meantime, it's worth 6.3 for a number one/top pairing d man these days.

Man 4.2m for a guy who's never averaged a point a game in a season and has concussion history. I'd say Stoll at 2.2m and even Pisani at 2.5m a year ago are what Hartnell should have been based off. You can't say this years increase in cap has inflated contracts almost double.
