Default OVERTKILL has lost his internet

I know that most of you don't know who OVERTKILL is (He's not a forum-visiting type of guy), but some of you have been in some Live games (Mostly Unreal & RS3) with he and I.

He's one of my good off-line friends who I often play on Live with.

Comcast screwed him over, ROYALLY!

He has auto-pay setup on his credit card for his monthly cable bill. For some reason that even Comcast can't explain, they disconnected his cable (On the SAME day they charged his card for the latest month's fees).

They even came to his house & removed the connection box they'd installed on the side of his house! He signed up way back when it was AT&T's '@Home' service, and had a contract that was $39.99/Month (Permanent - not promotional).

Now:

-They won't admit they f'd up
-They won't re-connect his cable w/o charging him an installation fee
-They won't offer him any special promotional offer (like $29.99 for 6 months or something)
-They won't re-instate his original contract of $39.99/Month

He's SO pissed that he hasn't even looked into getting new internet yet. I suggested a few alternatives for him, but I think he neesd to get Comcast back on the phone and threaten them with legal action (Or at least threaten to go to the better business bureau).

It's pissed me off too, because until he makes up his mind about what to do, we can never play on Live anymore.

Sorry, just had to vent.

Damn, thats pretty ****...

He's a good friend of yours..I'v wanted to play with him for a while cos I wanna wh....be whooped.. I hope he resolves it soom

geez talk about stupid..Comcast sucks!! i'd protest and think of suing somehow.

this really sucks for your friend! I hope that he gets everything worked out! Does he still have to original contract? If so he can show that to them. If they still don't hook him back up, he can take legal action like Deacon said!

I don't know if he has a copy of the contract. I suggested legal action to him, or at the very least contacting the better business bureau.

Knowing him, though, he won't be 'bothered' with stuff like that (Which is stupid, IMO).

Oh well. Hopefully he'll get internet back soon.
