first off: People! stop calling people whiners! thats only the case if there wasnt a good reason to report it and they did anyway. I dont think the problem is as prevalent as the mods think it is, but the Amnesty thread definitely was a problem. A big one. However, i would like to say i havent seen any big issues elsewhere...but yeah... I just hope that the one glaringly bad thread doesnt cost us the section, ive had a lot of fun in here.

There is a difference between political debate the mud slinging rip-fests on each other. I guess we can keep the report system, but to encourage people to post cautiously I say a certain amount of time in ban camp for a certain number of reported posts (or degree).

Ali, out of curiosity I checked out Totalbf2. And have concluded that you're joking. You do realize that the OT section is less than like 5 pages right? And that half of those pages haven't been updated in a week? The WOT beats that hands down pants up. And the threads there are more mundane then our Pub.

You're threat to leave to TBF2, I just don't take seriously. 1) You're already a regular there, having posted today. And 2) The WOT is 100X more explicit, and free, than the TBF2 OT.

Prove me wrong. Start posting single threads about videos there. I dare you.

In reference to the "things to do rather than report", my idea is that when people overstepped the line (a given number of times) they would be banned JUST from WOT for, say, like a week.

I think revoking privelages temporarily is a much better idea than getting rid of the whole thing. And, naturally, continued abuse would resolve in a complete ban.

It really isn't a hard thing to set up or keep going, it's just a matter of finding some moderators to run this place. Since you guys fucked up the first time (not pointing any fingers), Jofaba is pretty crushed and I don't think he wants to do it.

I've essentially gave up posting in this part of the forums because of the whiners who can't take the personal truth dished out.

I suggest you at least keep an eye on the section. New mangement is taking interest and that means new ideas. They can do a lot more than I could have, and I can't wait to see what becomes of that combined thought.
