Default chutes or Resistance trainers?

I'm trying to decide what would be better to get for speed and strength training for training over the summer for crosscountry. and I know some of you are runners so I want to know what yinz use to train with. as of now im thinking one of these two but not sure which. I'm already getting a weight vest to improve all over body strength.

Chute:

Resistance trainer:

also comes in the 2 ppl version

And the weight vest:

can hold up to 40 lbs. of wieght

Weight Vest = Yes
Chute = More ridiculous than Knifey's claims of straightness.

Chutes are better because there is too much to worry about with resistance training... The person behind you must be stronger, and he has to grip harder and not let go.

I was actually thinkning about wearing it to school under a hoody or something and soon we migth get metal detectors because of threats and metal wieghts in a vest might be wierd if I get searched or something but anyways the weights are rubber so it wont matter.

What about the resistance trainers that you attach to a fixed object like a tree?

Weight sled. Since you said yinz, I am assuming you are from the Pittsburgh area, there are plenty of weight shops around there you can buy one from.

BTW - it is spelled youinze according to WDVE

Resistance or sled. Why? Because you look like a moron with the parachute attached to your back.

Haha born and raised and bleed black and gold, the only problem with the weight sled is no long/large flat area around my house, even the roads are hills.

Ah hills, I forgot what they looked like, I was born and raised black and gold as well. I was born 1 week before the 79 Superbowl and came home the day of, my family al came over, drug the crib into the living room and watched the Stillers. First thing I ever "watched" on TV.

Hills are good, you can just reduce the weight. You could even build one out of two old skateboards, some bolts and a couple 2x4s. Of course the wheels are going to reduce resistance, but the hills should make up for that.

Also, check out Lifeline USA Functional Fitness Equipment Exercise Equipment Exercise Fitness Equipment Fitness Gym Equipment Health Fitness Personal Trainer Physical Therapy Strength Training Weight Training. I am a serious fan of their resistance bands. I have all of them (except the real weak ones). I use them instead of weights now. 3 black bands together feel the same as trying to bicep curl around 95-105 pounds.

Thank you! I'll go to home depot and see what I can get to make a sled.
