Basically yes. The newer ones Episodes 1-3 are there to show how Vader came to be and where Luke and Leia came from and how the Empire was started. That is the way Lucas wanted it it 75 when he started with Episode 4.

They were called Episode 4 A New Hope, Episode 5: Empire Strikes Back and Episode 6 Return (Revenge originally) of the Jedi. That is the way Lucas wanted it and has always been like that.

The order:
Episode IV: A New Hope
Episode V: Empire Strikes Back
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
then....
Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Lucas started out with the sequels and aftermath and then proceeded to show how all of that happened.

There is a method to Lucas's madness.

I have the DVD's and the original Theatrical Original movies copied on DVD with out all of the new special effects. I watch them more then the "Special Editions"

After playing games like KOTOR and stuff I realize how much more exciting the movies could be. Make one about Exur Khan or the mandalorian wars or something awesome like that.

I do not think they will go back that far, but there is enough to get games and what not going for YEARS to come. Just be patient.

I know but i'll be playing the game and be like "damn I want a movie!" and then i'll see a movie and be like "damn I want a game!".................I still think a movie about the things I mentioned would be sweet though.

My dad went to see in NYC on Sunday (he got free tickets from a friend) and he called me and let me know it was pretty good...it's funny because my parents went and saw the first one a couple weeks after I was born...

Where is the love for the Star Wars fans. Come on. Its not as bad as Star Trek Fans. Well Im sure im not the only one who has taken off work tomorrow to watch all the movies leading up to this last one at midnight. I gotta be up at 9 to get tickets and then its waiting all day to go back and wait in line for the midnight showing. I was always looking forward to this movie, but when I read the review by Kevin Smith it got me really pumped up. Its going to be an awsome movie. You should read his review but be warned he has some major spoilers. Just wait and see. I think people are really gonna rave over this movie , unlike the last few.
