Default New Truck, New Shoes (finally!)

Well, about 2 months ago Pops and set out on a quest find a cool chevy 2500hd diesel 4x4. It took a while, but we finally found one in Kentucky. I have had the truck about a month now, and I love this thing. Soooo much better than my old blazer in so many different ways.

Those of you that are familiar with these trucks know that they come with some pretty wimpy tires from the factory, so I wanted to change this. I originally tried to sqeeze some 305/70R16 Mickey Thompson Baja Radial Claws on the truck, but they were about 1/2 an inch too wide. Not wanting to crank the torsion bars to allow them to fit (because I love the way this truck rides), I went with 285/75R16 Goodyear MTRs, which are the same diameter, just a little narrower. Anyway, here are some pics (sorry they are so big, I don't have photoshop on my new computer yet):

I have pics of my actual truck before the tires went on, but they are on my computer at work.... anyway, enjoy.

Now go find some off-road mud trails and have some fun! That truck should never be clean and keep an extra think layer of dried mud on it!
