Default New car?

So I’m getting tired of my 2000 Acura TL click me

Why? Maintenance has sucked lately, Tranny is flawed and will more than likely fail after the extended warranty is up (main reason), I want something a bit more sporty, manual, RWD, and runs good without many maintenance issues.

I've been looking at the new Nissan 350Z, Infiniti G35 Coupe, Honda S2000, Lotus Elise...as you can see I have expensive taste and I'm sure if I get a new ride it will be used (IMO buying new makes no sense when the value decrease so much a few years later) I would like something that has a strong aftermarket following cause I'm sure I’ll mod the ride (except that Elise, that thing is sexy albeit out of my price range). To be honest I would love to learn how to race but that's a very expensive hobby and I wouldn't know where to start. My price range? well my current monthly payment is $440 (I know, I know) so something around that would be manageable.

Any suggestions? Or anyone willing to buy a 2000 Acura 3.2 TL?

HELP!

lol naw

Rims
Tires
Sport springs
Headers
Cleared Tail lights
Slotted rotors

If is wasn't for the flawed tranny I'd probably keep it. The car runs great and Acura/Honda are known for making stable rides but that damn tranny will always be an issue. I have about 75,000 miles on it. Warranty will be up at 100k

Yep, it is well known in the 2000 to 2002 Acura.
If you want to keep it. Just go out and drive the **** out of it. Then let them go ahead an replace the tranny under warranty.

Oh take my word for it...I am!

I'm currently on my 2nd tranny so If It does go out, hopefully it will happen soon and when the 3rd one goes I can officially not worry as it will fall under the lemon law. Now that I think about it I need to see if the previous owner had it replaced. When I bought the car it had 50k on it. Know how I can get that info pops?

That 100k warranty you speak of is factory warranty that Acura (American Honda) extended due to tranny problems correct ?

There you go then. I will go back to what I mentioned before. Drive the ****
out of it. Acura knew there was an issue with those trannys, hence the reason for them extending the warranty. I hate to say it, but Acura was one of the worst manufactures I ever had to deal with. Even though they are a Japanese company, they are running 10 years behind their opponent (Lexus) in quality product and customer service.

Really? I hear mixed stories about them. I do have to say the dealer close to me (Criswell) are very good.

You gotta remember man. I worked behind the scenes directly with the manufactures. I see things the public will never know about, and Acura was very poor at what I mentioned above. I am not speaking about the individuals working a service drive, selling, or working the parts counter at a particular dealership. I am speaking from about the manufacture, and to sum it up. Acura blows.

Oh I'll take your word for it.

On another note. Any suggestions regarding my 1st post? Any insider info you may know of that will help with my research?

Just curious
