Default motorcycle advice

So during summer since I wont be driving my little brother to school I'll most likely be paying completely for my gas instead of just every other time and I want a small motorcycle to ride around. I was looking at kawasaki ninjas a bit but was wondering if anyone knew any better, possibly used models cheap models ?

thanks for any help

There is some Yamaha R1's around me from 1200 - 2000... Don't know if that helps... Look at AutoTrader.com or CarSoup.com... Somethin' like that.

I don't reccommend a sport bike for a 'virgin' rider. If you do decide to get one, however, keep the cc's low. 600 is pushing it.

My first motorcycle was a Honda Shadow 500 (cruiser style, not a 'crotch rocket'). Nowadays I ride a Shadow 750 (I wanted the 1100, but couldn't swing it at the time).

Next time I step up, it will be to a Harley Electraglide Classic.

I am glad to hear the above. You definitely do not need an R1. WereWolf, you shouldnt have any problems finding one in the 1500 to 2000 range.
I can do a little searching if you wish. Just let me know, and fyi, now is a great time to be buying one. The market is down. Just do not wait until Spring, that is when the value goes up.

My first car was so close to being a 2003 Harley Burnt Orange Dyna Wideglide... Kinda blows that my dad sold it since it was willed to me from my grampa but meh. It was sweet.

Oh yea... If you want to keep the CC's down, get this.

hahahah...
