This is costing more then i thought....
Well I still have my S-10 with the 20'' rims. I have decided to go ahead and lower it for now and do the air ride suspension (bags) in February. I ordered 2'' drop spindles for the front for $180 and new ball joints for about $50 total.
I put the upper ball joints on and the spindles on myself. I had to have the lower ones put in and the rotars turned b/c I don't have a press to put the lower ones in. So after 4 1/2 hours I was done and took it to a shop. They charged me $130 to put the ball joints in and turn the rotars. and this took about 3 hours.
Then I went to align the front and noticed the passenger side tie rod and idler bar needed replaced and couldn't align it. Those are going to cost me a little over $100 then another $50 to align it. No problems on the rear though, shackles and blocks did the trick.
So it's lowered now and looks real good, but I can't drive it until I replace the idler and the outer tie rod. That's the update.
