If you have a lock-on press F2, it will use it's decoy which should mislead the missile. Also is there anyway too configure the controls for that dam thing? so when I want too go forward it would go back.

AFAIK you cant do it in options, there are special binds though, with modifiers and stuff.
And for the flares its 1 aswell, more easy..XD

It is pretty interesting, they also have "advanced" flight controls. Have not messed with that yet. I had a private fight with one of those for a round. Was GDF engineer and built anti vehicle turrets. I shot him down with those about 5 times, 3 times with a tank (one shell is enough) and once with a pistol But he did something interestingly smart. He hovered at a distance and shoot at my turret from so far away that the turret wouldn't catch him. That of course left him static enough for me to do his cockpit in with a tank shell.

It does not feel at all like a helicopter to a jet (or like anything you might have flown in BF2142) but it is highly interesting. I think i will mess around with it some more, but maybe try a joystick this time.

Simon, dont go joystick with this one, its too wobbly for that. The advanced flight controls are way better though, you can do way more advanced moves with it, because default it stabilizes the roll automaticly = bad. + you cant go down further then a certain angle. Advanced flies much better IMO. BTW the tormentor owns so bad you can fire rockets backwards ROFL!

Funny, i just tried the joystick. Doesnt work, the game does not accept the joystick at all. Ignores all tries to bind it to the buttons or axis. But i enabled the advanced flight controls now, gonna test those out. Btw, you found out a difference between advanced driving controls and normal?

Strogg are fairly strong. The tormentor is a bit of a tricky thing though. I think it simply is a weird weapon to use. You cant use it from a too big distance, or you wont even see what you shoot at, and at close range its virtually useless, as you either get shot down or bang it up very badly very quickly (when you go low etc). But it just is evil if you sneak up over the left side mountains on the eastern side and then attack them from behind. Very very evil if the spawn there and you shoot them down as they spawn. With a gunner, you could technically wipe them out every single time, as you have 20 seconds before the enxt respawn happens.

Yes, basic stabilizes the roll axis, and it wont let you aim down then a certain angle.

im not a big fan on the actual vehicles, there ugly to be in, and theres not much you can do, for example the walker in bf2142, machine gun then rocket function, mouse 1 and mouse 2, with the walker on quake wars, i've only seen it randomly fall over everyso often, and have some pathetic shot.........
I like the booster pack things, whatever they are which allows you to fly around

Talking about vehicles, some of the land vehicles feel weird, the Titan has acceleration like it's a race car, you get seasick in the Walker .


I tried to use joytokey on the tormentor, worked pretty fine except my joystick is somehow fucked up, it's stuck on 20% rudder to the left and I can't calibrate it right .
