In ET you could kill people like crazy that way. Sniping was one of my favorit past time, but i ended up more doing crazy shit with grenades and trick jumps over time, not playing a long at any point. So my sniper experiences are more from other games, considering the length i played them. Did a lot of sniping in CS and DOD, coming to think of it

Hehe, yes the W:ET sniper was pretty good, if you know how to use it... I think these snipers will be the same though, just some trick we gotta learn.

The trick is that you got to have the feel for where the center is. In the other games you at least had a vertical line for guidance that you could use for one axis. In this case you swim around like crazy. Also that pixelating effect is just really annoying than giving you atmosphere or anything like that.

So far played BETA 2 for couple of hours and its a nice turn around. My main concerns are almost fixed.I can hit where I aim now and the sounds of weapons are much better and more in sync.Plus the game runs smoothly now and I didnt experience choppiness at all beside occasional fps drop since my PC sux.I didnt expect that they would fix that many things until final release, but I am pleasantly surprised. The map was brutal for GDF,but fun nonetheless.

I played for a total of about 2-4 hours so far and I'm not liking the game at all. The aiming is awful and it is almost impossible to hit your target. Vehicle aiming wasn't good either and some of them were too hard to drive in my opinion. Plus, the red screen color of valley makes it hard to see what is going on at times. I only played strogg so far so is the map still all red if your gdf? As of right now I don't see myself getting the game. I'll wait for crysis and call of duty 4. BF2142 will continue to dominate my playing time until then.

I agree with PsylentStorm, thers just this chubby feeling i get when I play ET:QW. maybe it has something to do with the quad being the size of a horse. Also the weapons have a choppy feel to them. I was also hoping for a tom clancy ghost recon feel or a simlier feel to 2142 but this just feels like they made a great game and then pounded a bunch big macs and fries into it.

I love that bf2142 has different camera angles which make the gameplay excellent, Quake wars just lacks so much things, but in the beta 2 they fixed so much stuff but it still sucks to be honest, hopefully the demo is better and they dont release it without fixing it.
