Question Game Modes?

what game modes art to be expected?

i tried looking for info on whether coop would be included, but couldn't seem to find anything. anyone found anything covering the game modes that is more in depth?

Right now as far as i know its Objective based combat as explained in the features section. So basically you will have to go through different objectives, it could be from disabling certains things like gates, turrets to be able to gain access to a certain part of the enemies facility to get to the next objective. There was a video they had released on this a while back, when i get a chance i will look up a link to that video.

There probably are other game modes, but thats the only one that comes to mind right now.

As far as I know there will be no coop, as there will be no AI. Both teams are always controlled by human players. The game "modes" are comparable to BF2142 Conquest Assault mode, except that it's not just about capping control points. Each team has a number of objectives that have to be completed on each map. The opposing team always has "counter-objectives", for example:

GDF has to construct a bridge across a river, the Strogg have to stop them.

Unlike Battlefield where there are several points all over the map, the thing here is that the action is always concentrated more or less around one primary objective at a time, so no matter how many players are playing on the server, there will always be action.

Here are example videos for the map "Valley" released by Splash Damage:

GDF objectives
Strogg objectives

thank you both for your attention.

that's a big negative in my opinion. i enjoy coop modes more than human vs human. i mean, i grew up playing against AI and now multiplayer is leaning away from an experience of friends against AI.

i guess my purchase of QW will be decided upon the demo's gameplay. that is if they have a demo. i haven't seen any mention of one.

thanks again for the replies and links.

There is AI however as far as I know its very basic and only used in the training missions. However expect someone to make a coop mode with more advanced AI, the game is very modable and id be very surprised if there wasn't a project to do this.
