Hey m8... I am glad to see you here again...

Yorick can answer you better, cause he is dealing with this topic now (i am wasting all my time in the next design - 8 sketchs just for the frontpage - i don´t like so much this stage but ... I am photoshoping right now).

One more quick suggestion... an mIRC channel. It would immerse the forum-goers even further, and create a new form of communication between them. If you need any help with this, I could easily guide you through the process.

Talking with Yorick, It seems a good alternative for our LIVE CHAT system (only for registered members). It was included in the plans.

I did a lot of reading on setting up the tracker and creating the actual torrent files. I'm going to spend some of today doing it and testing and whatnot. Hopefully we'll have it working soon. =)

Don't worry, the page will come with a small tutorial for how to download using torrents, for those who haven't yet.

In terms of resizing the forum width, it looks like our statistics program doesn't track resolutions. I think a % would probably be the way to go.

PS we had 15,000 unique visitors this month.

Yes, I'd been thinking of this as well. I know PunBB has a java plugin for a chat, and I'm not sure if vB does as well, it's been a few months since I've used it. I'd like to be able to keep the live chat around as well as doing IRC.

Okay good news / bad news.

Bad news first. I've spent a few hours trying to set up the tracker and I keep running into a small error. Given that my girlfriend and I are the only ones trying to get the file, and we're not connected,

I'm not sure if it's working despite the error. If anyone here is familiar with torrents and could try this I'd be very appreciated. Also, if you could report your errors, I'd be happy too.

The test file is just a small text file with some gibberish. In theory it should download quickly, then we'd try it with some actual TotalCry videos.

Good news! vBulletin does have an mIRC plugin. And that's what I'll be working on for some of today. It should be neat! I'm working on it now so I'll be back when it's working.

Yeah, that's basically what I was getting, but without having anyone actually connected I'm having trouble seeing if it's going through despite the errors, because those seem to come and go anyway.

Either way, the new chatroom is done. I'm going to talk to Mack about changing the links and then we'll be all set. =)

I tested the new chat system and it´s really cool! It´s a mIRC client. We will change the link in the nav header to the new live chat when we create the new layout.
