Crysis Wins "Best Technology" Award at GDC

Over on the Crymod forums, Cry-Alex Crytek's Community Managers has posted that Crysis has one the best Technology Award at this years Game Developers Confrence. Beating games such as Call of Duty 4, Assasin's Creed and Halo 3.

Award for Best Technology
One of the most anticipated events of the 2008 Game Developers Conference which was recently held in San Francisco was no doubt the Game Developers Choice Awards Ceremony, which presented awards for the results of the previous years efforts of their members. This year the Award for Best Technology, for which “Halo 3”, “Call of Duty 4”, “Portal“ and “Assassin’s Creed” were also nominated, was given to Crytek for its latest blockbuster title “Crysis”, recognizing the overall technical excellence of the CryENGINE® 2 technology powering the game.

Crytek want to express their deep appreciation to the Jury for their recognition of Crysis, as well as thank our staff and development crew for all their hard work over the years which made this award possible.
