Crysis-the true sequel of farcry?

I heard this quite often. I have farcry, but I never really played it, so I'm asking to everyone if Crysis is pretty much like Farcry or if they are only saying that because farcry had the best graphic on the market at his release date, just like Crysis.

farcry takes place in an island. Only common thing as far as I know. Does all the trpical islands looks the same. yes they do(I mean the coco trees green everywhere...)
