Default Crysis freeze

Hey, Im having a little problem with crysis, I play crysis on medium in Dx9 fine and have played through the game with no problems, but in the level Hunter where the large alien walker crashes out of the rocks right after you save the lady from the wreckage of the downed aircraft the game completely freezes up, at exactly the same time every single time. I dont know if this is a hardware related issue but adjusting the video settings has no effect so i really dont know whats going on, any help would be greatly appreciated.

system specs:

Intel core 2 duo @ 2.2 ghz
nvidia 8600m GT 256 mb
2 gb ram

Maybe a bad file? Possibly reinstall, I had to last night to get the patch to work.

JUST REMEMBER TO BACKUP YOUR SAVED GAMES FILES!

Or you'll need to start over or find someone that give you the file / save point for the next level.

OR~ you could just find someone (google) that has posted the save point files and just go the next level, you basically beat that level I think.

Why, the campaign was so ridiculously fun...and easy...that he could just play through it again.
