Default help?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, repeatedly, I've tried going into the Crysis demo I downloaded, it works, but it is slow. Slower then any game I have ever played. These are my specs.

I have a Dell Inspiron I1520 4.7 Windows Rating, Intel(R)Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20 GHZ 2.20 GHZ

2046MB memory RAM
32Bit Operating System.

So what is wrong?

Graphics card is a GeForce 8600M GT. Yeah, it is a laptop, why is that a problem?

Well Crysis is kind of a heavy game, and laptops dont really like heavy games.

Oh no. That is just great. I get a laptop for my birthday, expecting it to run these games, and what do I get? Not good gameplay, I can run CoD2 and BF2142, but not Crysis? Any suggestions? Upgrading?

Well Im not a laptop expert but I dont think you can upgrade that.. Its not that important though.. There are tons of even better games you can play on it...

Like? I wanted to play Crysis but if I can't upgrade, I'll take any good FPS.

I swore to never get another CoD series, is there anything else, strictly for PC, and is nice FPS.

Try BioShock for a good single player game or Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars for good multiplayer they should not be too GPU heavy

You might be able to give Assassin's Creed a shot when it comes out for PC.

man i have the exact same laptop, i got it for my birthday expecting the same thing, that it wud play everything, and it has quite well, i had the same exact problem and got so angry but all u have to do is go to the windows games selection area thing in the start menu, and rite click on Crysis and select Play DX9, i play on medium for everything @ 1280 x 800 and it plays great, tho playin at a lower resolution is better because then u can put some settings on high

if you want to upgrade ur laptop, u can add an additional 1 gb of ram by removing one of your 1 gb cards and adding a 2 gb one in its place, but a 32 bit OS will only use a maximum of 3.1 gb of ram for games so its pointless to upgrade to 4 gb of ram u can also uprgade ur processor from 2.2ghz to 2.4ghz but it costs around 300 dollars

i hope this helps
