beware of AVG !

If you use AVG anit virus, beware. It said the crsis.exe on my computer was a virus and when I tried to launch the beta it stopped me and said I may not have permissions to open the file! so I let it clean the exe and now its gone. Time to reinstall !!!

Some guy posted the same thing on another forum, so you are not alone.

Just make it so AVG doesnt delete it simple as that, your able to select what you want and not want to delete after a virus scan or once it finds supposive virus

I let it clean it then it was gone. I tried reinstalling it and I went into AVG to restore the file but It still wont work! they say that the worm is called "Obfustat.QEJ" I only got to play the beta for a few minutes then I tried to play it again this happened. AVG must have done an auto update. I disabled AVG the last time I tried to install it but now that I think about it I did not disable it in the background services.

I had the same problem. I uninstalled AVG and installed Avast.

Yea, the same thing happened to me, but i didnt even run any Virus scans.

Something about the launchers, as Zone Alarm warns me about it. I can allow it to run, but get the warning each time.

I got mine to run again by disabling AVG in the background processes in the task manager the I did clean install with no AVG programs running in the background.Make sure you don't have Crysis.exe in your virus vault and you should be ok?

god knows, i tried installing it again, keeps picking it up- im done with the beta, waitin for the SP demo!
