Default Release Date Discussion and Updates

I'm not sure this counts as news, so I am first putting it here for discussion.

Well, I was looking at the amazon pre-order page for crysis, and I saw this jewel:
Availability: This item will be released on September 11, 2007. Pre-order now! Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. Gift-wrap available.

I guess we have a release date? Discuss.
Amazon

Another releasedate, thanks to Sano64: Gamestop - New release date set to 11/13/07

There is no official release date yet. Theses sites never update when an game gets pushed back. We will let you know when we get an official date.

Now I will share my knowledge. This isnt all about release date but...listen

Beta: Crysis on FilePlanet All batch of cd-key for the beta are set to release in september and the beta is a multiplayer beta

inCrysis - Guide to the game Crysis - GC 07 - inCrysis Crysis Videos Some interesting videos of Crysis beta. (I dont think thats the open-beta of fileplanet but a beta from EA itself or a demo from E3 as the vid are filmed using a camera and not a program like fraps.

Crysis Sector :: Crysis Cheats, Videos, Screenshots, News, Guides, Forums, and more... This is the best website yet to have information about Crysis.

From Aug 27 the official demo release that as being fixed: september 25.

Crysis pre-order registration website is working now.

From August 2 we all knew the release date: November 16

The unofficial specs:

Crytek have not yet announced system requirements for Crysis. However, the kind folks at Crysis-Online.com have crafted their own set of system requirements based on confirmed information, interviews, and videos. These specs are not official and not confirmed and should strictly be used as a guideline. We should have the official specs soon, so until then this should do.
Minimum Requirements
CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz
Graphics: Nvidia 6600 or ATI X1600 - Shader Model 2.0
RAM: 1GB
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista

Recommended Requirements
CPU: Dual-Core CPU (Athlon X2 / Pentium D / Core 2 Duo)
Graphics: Nvidia 7800GT or ATI X1800XL Pro (SM 3.0)
RAM: 1.5GB+
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista I would also like to point out the following list of requirements. It was recently stated in a GamesRadar preview that Cevat Yerli, Crytek CEO, said that Crysis will be able to run on Ultra High settings with the following specs.

Ultra High Requirements
CPU: E6600 Core 2 Duo
Graphics: Nvidia 8800GTS
RAM: 2GB
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista
This means that if you were to purchase a new CPU, graphics card, and RAM based on those specs before Crysis comes out, you will be looking at spending about $500, pending foreshadowed price drops on the CPU (estimated intel price slashes on July 22) and the graphics card (when the 8900 series is released sometime at the end of this year).

Oh,um I forget.
The multiplayer mode will have 2 different kind of server. (excluding ranked/unranked) A kind of server for direct x9 and another one for dx 10. They will be both tweaked to add balancing. Why are they making that? Cuz direct x10 wich is far more advanced than direct x9 can allow the system to do more details and add new technology to the game. So, dx9 user cannot join a directx10 server.

There will be an editor who will allow you to make mp+sp maps.

and here a comment made by jynx from ea about the beta at fileplanet:

Quote:
Sorry for the confusion around this. I've posted a full message from Crytek explaining the details around the beta. Essentially this first batch is meant to be an internal friends/and family beta, and not the true beta.

"This is our final test to verify the stability before the initial Beta begins. It is an important test for EA and Crytek since we can see how everything works under real life conditions. This internal test is not directly related to the rest of the Beta. Therefore we did not plan to official announce it."

Read more under Announcements.

Cheers,
Jynx
