Default DirectX has encountered an unrecoverable error
I just started getting this message... I have no idea why. I was playing CoD4 earlier today no trouble, and now it wont run. Ive updated directX and my video card drivers. Still won't go though... Any help please?

Ive got neither... I close everything when I play, from avg to msn, slows me down too much =P

What are your computer specs and run dxdiag and let us know what you're working with.

xfire issue it was fixed you just need to update it - it would crash anytime you changed your resolution settings.
