DOTW: Is the M4 overrated, overpowered, or completely useless?

This week, let's discuss the M4 of COD4... I've heard here and there that some LOVE the M4, but others think it's the most useless weapon of the game. So what do you think about the M4?

I really like it, most likely the weapon I will use once I get the golden Ak-47. I use for scrims, that speaks for itself...

Yeah I think it's a good weapon, I personally don't think that's it's over powered, it's really balanced in the game-play aspect.

No recoil, Good range, with the right perks can be the swiss army gun useful in all situations - except against juggerwhores in reg version.
I like it.

yeah, its very accurate, but suffers in the damage category, esp... if youre shooting from afar with a silencer.

And I bet you guys use the Voss in 2142? ROFL kidding, but its overpowered IMO, M14 ftw!

Haha. I mastered every weapon in 2142. Krylov was the best, though. Back to the subject- The M4 is a great gun. It's the most balanced gun in the game IMO. It is a hackzor with stopping power, though. I use it in scrims a lot, too, Pancho, you noob tubing whore!

In my defense I was only using it to get the Ouch! challenge completed. I finally got it, so I will not use the noobtube again.

Anyways, I do think the M4 is a bit too strong sometimes, some people even manage to snipe me with it (spraying) when I'm using a sniper rifle...

Probably just a lucky head shot, that or I have noticed that the head hit zone is bigger when you are farther away... Anyone else notice it?

G36c is superior to the M4 IMO...

The G36C is identical to the M4 except in rate of fire...it shoots slower. The M4 is the best all around gun but I would still rather have an Ak because of its beastliness.

GO M14! I still like the M4 the best, but I'm a noob and finally unlocked the m14. Not bad since I only have like 10 hours of that game under my belt since its release.
