The use of better sounds with weapons, with the goal of making the game a lot more intimating. Take note of Project reality, play normal BF2, than play PR. The sounds alone improve the PR game feel 10 fold.



Make is load, make it sharp, and if all else fails, GO TO SHOOTING RANGE AND RECORD SOME ACTUAL GUNSHOTS!



Oh....and More verity on weapons and vehicles. Include different models of the same type of APC for example. Lets say you have an LAV-25, have the model with the 20mm, the troop carrier, a variant with a mortar, and a commanders rig with communications gear etc.

I don't like to see generic tank 1 2 3 and 4, I like to see real world models and sub models that are all designed to fit a special job in the battle.

More support options (UAV, Artillery, supplies etc) that can be unlocked as you gain more points as commander. Challenging yes but these unlocked support options could be very devastating to the opposing team and give an advantage to your team.

Artillery - simple mortar strike to a MOAB
UAV - UAV radius and time length increase
Supplies - higher levels give kits aswell as health and ammo
Vehicle Drop - higher levels allow you to drop heavier vehicles

  • Eliminate cartillary/crateillary
  • PLAYTEST THE FRIGGIN' GAME before it is released. We've had enough of all the glitches being exploited.
  • Give us some maps with air power that will not be "fish in a barrel" against the guys on the ground.
  • AA that will actually bring down something in the air. A Stinger can take down a jetliner in real life, but in-game AA just pisses off a chopper.
  • Fire-and-forget missiles, for both air and land.
  • The ability to mix and match equipment/loadouts (besides the main gun).
  • Let unlocks be real unlocks that mean something.
  • Lessen damage from bullets shot through walls/obstacles.
  • Allow bullets to penetrate walls/obstacles.
  • Make chucking grenades wear the soldier down... too many 30 minutes ;nade spam wars going on.

  • Keep the dogtag system!

i'd be happy with just a non-buggy/glitch game.

but if i had to pick some things;

somehow alleviate nade spam problem, balance out weapons (like no more overpowered PK rockets), and don't even create useless unlocks nobody will use (radar grenade, shield, smoke nades, etc.).

i'd like them to think about fixing the revive system to have it make more sense. in more cases than not, you shouldn't be revivable. it's ridiculous to revive someone who fell 1000ft or one that ate a tank shell. perhaps a gib system like RtCW would work here.

better ballistics like CoD4, where you can shoot through objects and even through bodies.

and get rid of knife/pistol related awards so we can finally stop this KnP nonsense.

Getting knifed in a ankle doesn't kill you. In fact, make it so that knife is one hit kill only if you hit the head or from behind.

Different damage states for vehicles. Like tracks falling off the tanks and rotor blades breaking off the helicopter.

Okay, I have played a lot of BF2, and as of late I have completely stopped playing it in favor of CoD4. Is CoD4 a better game? No. But was implemented properly. I am going to compare CoD4 to BF2 a lot, because they are the games that I play the most and I think they both have a lot to offer.

The top 5 things BF2 did right.


1. Squads. This is one of the most important elements in good online play. Sure I can play CoD4 with friends, but I can't really play with them as team mates. Because there is no squad based game play, it is impossible to stick with someone.

2. Infantry only. While vehicles were alright, there were times that I wanted to play infantry only. This should definitely be kept.

3. Commanders. Having a good commander was invaluable. Getting people to listen to a commander was hard, but it should not be taken out in favor of a CoD4 like system. Commanders are what keep things together.

4. Large maps. The maps on CoD4 are just to small. I can traverse them in 30 seconds. I liked having to trek across a larger map in BF2. It made dieing a lot more meaningful when you had to resume your journey.

5. Spawning. CoD4 spawning is a joke. BF2 had it right. Spawn on bases you own, not just anywhere.

The top 10 things BF3 needs to have that BF2 missed.


1. Better hitbox. The first thing I noticed about CoD4 was a hit is a hit. In BF2 you can unload an entire clip with a G36 on burst and only hit a player a few times. This needs to change. A hit needs to be a hit. If you want to make it more realistic, give the gun more recoil, but do not make it miss when the sights are on target. It is impossible to hit anybody in BF2 when they are strafing across the screen because of this problem.

2. Eliminate the fog. I know this will be hard to do, especially given the vast maps that BF is famous for, but it has to go. When you are flying a plane you can't even see what is in front of you. Even worse, as a sniper, since fog surrounds you, your scope is practically useless. A sniper should be able to act as a scout and see objects before others.

3. Some kind of hard core equivalent.
BF2 was good, but it still took to many hits to take someone down. There should be an option in servers to implement this.

4. Level the playing field. Anti tank rockets should take down a tank, as should anti-air. I am tired of having to shoot four AT missiles just to take down one tank. It just doesn't make sense. If you want only give the AT class one missile to compensate, then fine. They would only have one in real life anyway.

5. Claymores should be treated as explosives.
I don't know how many times I have seen a claymore and had to watch as a team mate walks into it. Claymores should be destructible. If I shoot it, it should explode. End of story.

6. Sniper rifles, one shot kill. It should not take more then one shot to take down a player ESPECIALLY with a .50 cal weapon. I understand that you don't want to overpower things, but you should never UNDER POWER things. If you are afraid the .50 will be too powerful, don't include it in the game. I would rather not have it then watch a man run off after being hit with a .50 cal anti-ordinance round.

7. Missile accuracy. This goes for all projectiles really. Everyone has shot a TV missile through a helicopter, or a AT missile through a jeep with no effect. That has to stop. If I see a jeep coming at me I should be able to blow it up. Not have my missile pass through it and have myself run over. The invulnerability of the J10 also comes to mind.

8. Configurable kits.
If I am a medic I want access to an automatic weapon. I would like more customization of the kits instead of just some presets.

9. Players getting stuck. Quite often I can waste my time trying to revive a fallen player just to find that it is useless because part of his body is stuck in a rock. Not only this but why can you not revive someone who was on a ladder when they died. These kinds of things are annoying and have no reason for happening.

10. Weapon customization.
Perhaps make this part of the ranking system, but you should be able to attach silencers and sights to your weapons. If I am Spec Ops and I am trying to take out base assets, I don't want to give my self away with loud gunfire.


I know this was a long post. But I hope to god someone at Dice reads this. I played BF2 religiously for years, but after a while the problems were just to great. I could no longer enjoy the game without being pissed off by one of the above flaws. As I result I have started playing CoD4, it's far from perfect and has no where near as good game play as BF2, but the engine has no visible flaws, so I am usually less frustrated when playing it.

Please Dice, Listen to me as I know I speak for a lot of people. Make BF3 the game we have all been waiting for. And for the sake of the gods SUPPORT WIDE SCREEN!

Just port Bad Company to PC. Bad Company did pretty much everything right. For those that are concerned about sound, BC has the best sounding weapons of any game I've ever played, by far.


Dogtags should stay. Also, it should take 2 hits from a knife to kill. Nothing was more frustrating then playing 2142, and having some idiot sprint at you swinging his knife in all directions and after 10 swings knipping the end of your pinky, thus getting your tags. Knifing has been FAR to easy in the last few games of the series.
