Default Uniforms/camouflage

What would you like to see both sides wearing?

Personally I'd want it to depend on the map. If you're in an urban setting, urban camo. When you're in the desert, desert camo. If there's a forest/jungle map, I want to wear green camo. The uniforms should be somewhat distinguishable per side and per role. Like give the medic a small band across the upper arm with a red cross on it. Give Engineers a tool belt, etc. If that's too much to ask then please don't give one side ORANGE camo, like they did in 2142.

Same goes for the snipers. Different forms of camo shouldn't be an unlock. That would just be stupid. You had to unlock a level 2 scope to be able to snipe at longer ranges decently. That's just stupid, like a sniper rifle isn't going to have a decent scope.

i agree wholeheartedly, but id really want to see ghuille suits incorporated into the game. i think this should change with the map as well, since this makes the most sense. if they do have it, i hope it would be a checkbox like heavy armor... it wouldnt make sense to see a patch of grass indoors or on top of a building.

Camo that is suitable for the environment. There should be different styles for different types. For instance, if I was Assault class and I wanted to be sneaky, I could choose to wear the sniper camo. I just want a lot of customization.

As long as I can tell the sides apart (or FF is off), I'm good.

I'd like to see even more detail on the uniforms than in BF2/2142 and uniforms that match the theme of the map. However it's been said that BF3 will pretty much be urban combat, in which case different urban combat uniforms, helemets, armour, boots, etc. All which effect your sprint speed and stamina.

In the first R6 you could add an armpatch to designate your clan. That was cool.

A better symbol to show if someone's on your team. In 2142, I didn't really care for the small blue circles above someone...

Yeah, customisable guys would be cool, even if its just little arm patches. I want ghillie suits for snipers, theyre the coolest ever.

They could change the colour, like that guy in CSI: Miami had =P A grey/white ghillie suit for on top of a building

What about a chameleon suit? One that changes color to your surroundings... I would like that one...

One of my RL friends who plays 2142 is Color Blind, he had problems telling who was on what team (until he learned to recognize EU from PAC uniforms)

Maybe they can just have the countries flag or symbol instead. That would be a huge improvement I think.

Or a square for enemies and a dot for friendlies. A flag would be a bit too much IMO.
