Default Demo for Bf3

I think i want to see a demo of Bf3 because there is no point of making this if there is no demo. So make a demo for proof.

It will be a while before there is cold hard proof of this game, seeing how BFBC is probably going to come out first...

I agree with BMHo, we most likely will see Bad Company first, and based on that and its feedback they might change important components in BF3 to suit it more to what reviewers and the general public say.

And I am fairly certian that they will create a demo. There is a BF2 and BF2142 demo after all...

The only thing that I know was from an email a couple months back... The only thing that stuck out to me about it was that it was only for Vista and I believe the Mac OS X, but not totally sure. Anyway, as far as the setting and what not, the people said it was current day, just focusing more on the Middle East/ Urban combat more... Until now, its been left out of my mind... If I can find that damned email, I'll post it or the link...

Geez, I am so tired of friggin' Middle East! There is a whole lot more terrain besides deserts and urban. I know the Vietnam mod I played for a while was awesome because of the jungle maps. Or even non-desert urban would be good.

Give us a map in the Congo, or Central America, or even Cuba. How about a temperate metropolis, like Paris or New York ( think above ground, in buildings, and subway tunnels)? Or even a mining site with pitfalls and mine shafts? I mean, come on people, use your imagination!

Vista and MacOSX are "supported". It wont be exclusive on those plattforms.

I think we're going to have to wait for BFBD and BFH to come our before we see any BF3. Although I could be wrong and they could just throw out three BF's in a year.

i think if were going to look for evidence of BF3, a good place to look is BFH and BFBC. after all, they hinted of 2142 in BF2. likewise, they gave hints about the hachi and the goliath in NS in the original 2142.

I agree, but the problem is large scale battles dont happen in those places. Unless its WWII for Paris, but I dont think we need another WWII game. NY would be cool..

In the top right corner I just saw: Bf3 release date 2008. I think thats wrong, almost every title first get confirmed, then some pictures/wallpaper will be provide to the community, then we see a alpha/beta demo at E3, few months later we can play on the final demo and then it release. I dont think it will be out this year.

BF2142: First "vehicle demo" tips up on youtube in february (was not meant to be out at that point). October the game is released.

I don't think 2008 is an unrealistic date and so far everything points to 2008.

Yeah, but DICE have plenty of BIIIIGGG work to do, they are making 2 games at the same time. (sarcasm)

Well Bad Company is essentially done. They showed the first teaser already almost two years ago, so that couldn't have been when they were still thinking of making it.

Mirrors edge is a big thing, but somehow I doubt that it is the exact same team that works on the battlefield series. Heroes is probably another team as well, most likely smaller and mixed with outsourcing to keep it even smaller. So what does the rest do all day? Battlefield 3 is my guess.

no no, it should be a fictional but still modern time conflict, just stay away from politix, most people do not want to play USA against arabs .. it has a bad taste to it AND its getting really really old, in fact anything with modern time US military is a bad choice

so other continents, cities are more then an option, i think if EA/dice has a common sense its a given... it was no coincident 2142 had no USA

plus its a lot more fun to play where actual obstacles are present and not just boring sand with an occasional palm
