Default Competative play

From the sounds of it, BF3 is going to seem a bit similar to BF2, but I think it's going to be awesome because everyone is comfortable with the gameplay already, if they made it better for clans (i.e. maps where competitive play is possible) this game could be be biggest battlefield game out there. I'm all about competitive game play, and if it's capable of 5 on 5 game play, I'M IN IT TO WIN IT!

The battlefield series has always been amazing with competitive play. Unless they do something drastic then BF3 will probably end up the same way.

Competitive play will get a whole new dimension with destructible environments. After a while the Battlefield changes, which will make the matches even more interesting.

I really had fun playing the close games on Karkand ad Sharqi. I really like the infantry based maps. It was fun when the tickets ended up being like 2 to 1 or 3 to 1. I really liked those close games. I liked when the teams were so close one perso could change how it ends up.

Yea. The destructible environments will have game play changing constantly.

Competitive play in BF3 will hopefully be awesome. I played 2142 competitively and was very impressed. I'm pumped about BF3 so I hope the leaked info isn't a spoof.

I've never really played competitively because I've never had the chance... sounds fun though.

Do you think that having destructible environments will help clans of lesser skill? It makes it harder to learn all the little hiding spots etc. when they can be destroyed? Would make for some great battles.

Possibly... Its also possible that the more experienced clans will learn how to make excellent cover outside of the original building placements.

I think destruction would have an impact as it also would make some strategy. Like you destroy a few points so you can go through there precisely. The playing field gets a bit leveled, literally and proverbial because you cant hid behind that corner anymore, when it gets blown to bits. One guy lays down fire so you don't show your mug and another lobs a grenade, bye bye.

i'm sure it will have co-op game mode, but not many will play it as you wont get points

sure as hell i wont play if i get no points

besides co-op would need a story line, bf games do not really have a story line, you just run around and do random killing or other stuff (witch i actually prefer)

It would be nice to have certain walls you can blow through, i.e. you wouldn't be subjected to nade spamming at that crack in the wall between ruins and central camp, you could make yourself a new path or take out that wall totally. Those would be the days...

Something tells me not everything will be destructable, probably just the majority of stuff.
I used to play competitively in a BF2 clan but quickly left as I hated it. People took the game too seriously, got stressed out and stuff. I just want to play with a good group of people who can work in a team and maybe make some friends in the process.
