Default team switching

in my persuit of getting the war college ribbon, i have started team switching in order to be on the winning team. I've raised my w/l ratio but it's due to the fact that i don't lose rounds at all. If im lossing, i just wait for the number of players to even out so i can switch to the winning team. Is this stat padding? will ea notice that i'm not losing any rounds?

u kidding, ea pays little attention to this game period, the only statpadders they really go after are those on servers specifically labeled "padding only". ea wont care, i know other pople who have done this and there still working on it, besides eas got better things to worry about

EA doesnt care about such things but this shouldnt be your goal... try to practice more so u become a better player... In a well balanced server one player can make the difference

I noticed that, too. I have seen a lot more very-one-sided matches as opposed to close games.

Servers are hardly ever balanced. I've had multiple rounds recently where the only people playing are complete noobs (first 12 ranks usually so could still get on the rank restricted servers). They're absolutely awful, in conquest they won't revive, in titan they won't attack/defend, just cap silos. It seems to be left up to me all to often to be the only person defending.

I usually saw the opposite. Everyone would just bunker up in the Titan while nobody went to go cap silos. Very annoying.

I've also taken to switching teams, but only when I'm doing well enough that I can blame the rest of the team for it. I won't switch if I'm just sucking it up (although I usually do well enough).

i can agree and relate to everything posted in here. I too switch teams to the winning one if I am doing well enough (+20 points) then the rest of my team. And the thing i have seen most often when i am playing titan (which isn't common for me), is that the team just sits at a standstill firefight in the titans, usually the last two consoles, upstairs. but, i fully agree with everything posted in this column

I thought I read you couldn't avoid a loss on your record that way -- guess I was wrong.

Of course, if good people know they can switch teams for the win, and they do . . . well, that tends to make the teams more and more lopsided.

Spoken like a true Jedi.. hats off to you.

When I noticed that squads I was in were 'disbanding' around the point in the game when it became clear our team was up the creek, I realized the game is infested with stats-ho's.

Teamswitchers [specifically players who do this to manipulate their stats], suck. Take it on the chin like a proper human being would.

That's my experience too. Some people seem to forget that you should still cap silos in order to win a titan game. If they are attacking you titan, you should of course defend it, but if everyone is on the titan and noone on the ground, the missiles will still blow you up.

That's why a good commenader and quading up is important.

I sometimes do that as well. I don't really care about the winning or losing of the round. I mean, of course I do care, but if it's a good round and I'm in a nice squad, I won't leave the team just to get the win. If I'm doing well, but the team sucks, I probably switch teams. But not just at the end of the round, but already during the round. It heppened that I switched teams, had a great round and lost. Bad switch? No, because it was a great round.

Keep up the good work soldier, you have the right spirit. Make sure you squad up. Also, learn from more experienced players. And just keep on reviving the noobs, as it always helps your own score. And hopefully they will leran to do the same thing soon.

BTW: there seem to be less and less people around who know that you can pick up another kit, and tus revive others even if you're not spawned as a medic. It's frustrating to have a support standing next to you saying "sorry", whil you have a medic kit. Just pick it up and revive me than!

That works both ways though, ie- a day or two ago, while I was neither playing particularly badly, or spectacularly well, the team I was on managed to win 7-10 rounds consecutively, even if a couple were just by the skin of our teeth.. it kinda makes up for the times I've been auto-balanced onto the losing side, or the times I've lost connection due to "losing key packets" while on the winning team; rejoined; and
been put right onto the losing side.
It is about balance, grasshopper
.. oh, and btw, teamswitching and pre-emtive disconnetions
by stats-ho's, should be court martialable offences, imho.
