I am not going to get off of the companies back. They are a company and they are here to make a product for us to enjoy. If they fail to make the product enjoyable then people will stop buying it from them and they will go out of business. I'm not going to give an economics lesson
I have no idea why I recieved the game early and other people are not. I know that my friend who ordered it at the same time as me a few weeks ago got his today also and he did not even order overnight shipping with it.
I just hope that EA gets the issue resolved in a timely manner. They might not have been ready to deal with the people on the servers getting their ranks updated and that may be the problem that is occuring.

So this patch has not fixed the disconnects to EA master server? Are you sure? because i thought that was a server side problem that was being fixed with this patch.

This problem will NOT be fixed by a patch. It is a server side error that will have to be fixed on the server side. You can expect to see it repaired during their typical tuesday updates... eventually.

I just tested the linux non-ranked server file and it installs with no problems on Centos and Debian. I will test a few other OS version later. I could only test the server starting up though as I do not have a client to connect to them on my LAN yet. I have to wait for the EAD to count down.

heres one for you. I cant find where anyone is havin a problem with the patch.
I download it fine. then start to install it. It brings up the status(where it shows how far it is), goes one click then flies to the end and says finished. Then I start the game and it whines about there bein a new patch(same one).

sigh...

anyone know what this is about?

I noticed earlier for some odd reason i was getting kicked out of servers as well, even though my connection was fine!

All I can say is with this patch release already it better fix the problem. I heard rumors that it didn't take care of the problem the patch set out to fix. Patch is already downloaded picking up game later today.

Everything is working fine now. The EA Master Server is up and runnning and I was able to play last night with no glitches. Whew

I'm having the same damn problem. If I skip and try to play (after activating the patch but disregarding further notices) I can't get any servers in the multiplayer section to come up. WTF?

EDIT: by starting the game and clicking on the "community" tab I was directed to some info that said if the first time you tired installing the patch the game was running (mine was cause it just minimized and sent me to the d/l page from which I d/l'd the patch and installed while the game was still running in the background) then you have to uninstall the game and do it all over, this time installing the patch w/o the game being on. Trying this now.

RE-EDIT: Success! This appears to have worked. Hopefully I'll be seeing you all in the servers real soon.

The patch fixed the problem, the game is out worldwide today (hopefully) and that's it. It's over and even people using the EAD have it. So go play!

i wish : / it would take up to 2 weeks for my dvd to get here and now i only have the cd-key

i wanted to rent a dvd to make a mini image but the rental place did not get it in time so earlyest they get it is monday

hopefully by then there will be miniimages on the net
