Well them sneaky guys released the client files a bit early on me, caught me napping. DCON is out, go get it
They have a ton of mirrors up already, and adding more all the time.
The Sandstorm has returned! The long anticipated Desert Conflict Mod for BF2 brings the classic feel of Desert Combat to the BF2 engine with its Alpha release.

You loved Desert Combat and longed for it to return within BF2. Done.
You wanted skill to be a factor in BF2. Done.
You wanted dumbfire missles for aircraft, handheld aa & ground based aa. Done.
You wanted familiar vehicles. Done (and still adding more)
You wanted Capture The Flag. Done
You wanted the classic maps. Done
You wanted Artillery brought back to the player. Done.

Yeah, I am downloading it now. I was talking to SinFulDemon and I realized they released it cause we were talking about what servers we will have and what I am recruiting for. I am so excited, I have been waiting 2 full years for this mod to be released.

I played several hours yesterday. Good stuff, however it is still video choppy for me. In El Alamein I was skipping across the desert on foot..but when I hop into a chopper, I got no choppy lag at all. Weird.

Anyway, Lost Valley is still the best infantry map ever.

Thanks for the remarks Fever crew. We are working on bugs and an update as we speak. The support has been incredible, and the public is helping us get through the issuesm inlucing lag on certain maps.
