Worst System Specs (BF2 Playable)

Heya boyz and girls! I thought I would start a thread for a good laugh at my own expense.
I currently run BF2 on 3 systems @ my house for me and my buddies. Who needs 64-bit processors and 7000/x1000 series cards! I don't know but I want em!

Here are the specs:

1) MINE (SEVERITY):
XP1700+ @ 2040MHz
1.5GB PC3200
EVGA 6600GT 128MB AGP
AUDIGY GAMER
50 - 60 FPS @ 1024x768 MED. Settings

2) Ic3piCK:
XP1900+ @ 1800MHz
512MB PC3200
ATI RADEON 9600PRO 128MB
16-bit soundcard
40 FPS @ 800x600 LOW Settings

3) youDEAD2
XP1700+ @ 2040 MHz
1MB PC3200
RADEON 9600 128MB
ON-BOARD SOUND
40 FPS @ LOW/MED. Settings

hey man, 40fps is pretty decent no matter what settings you're on. Trust me, there are MUCH worse specs.

P4 2.4GHZ 478
512mb PC2100 ram
ATi 9000 1280mb
ON-BOARD sound

10-15fps on lowest settings. lol

I got you all beat, i was playing on a 1.4 Ghz celeron with an ATI radeon 9250 with 256 Mb RAM. I almost went insane. But not i'm running a 2.8 Ghz with 1 gig and a radeon 9800 pro. I dont know how i lived without it

my other computer (i dont use it for anything... but recording and surfing/downloading) is

350 MHz
512 RAM
i don't even know what the video card is.. i think its a GeForce 2.. lmfao

I've seen someone claim to be playing BF2 on a P3 CPU. I think it was 933 MHz.

Well on my old comp it took about 45 minutes to join a server and the lag was terrible. So I doubt a 933 Mhz comp could really be playable for BF2

Depends on your definition of 'playable'. If you never played on a faster system you might not realize how bad yours is. (And join time seems to be mostly a function of your amount of RAM.)

That would be your video card. A slower CPU and faster vid card would perform better (up to a point at least).

My 1st system had an older board in it, which featured 768mb (256x3) of SDRAM lol, not that DDR stuff

You actually have a good setup. You are lucky to get 40 fps on ANY settings in bf2.

Try playing on a amd sempron, 512mb ram, geforce 5200fx pci, onboard sound and a 5400 rpm hd!!! That is really bad! 20fps is miraculous.

Im running on a P4 2.4ghz, 512MB PC2100 (another gig coming 3 days!), On board sound (but with logitech X530 5.1 speakers lol), 5400RPM 80GB HDD, but the pinnacle is an ATI Radeon X850Pro 256MB AGP, so, I can at least run this at all med settings with 50fps.
