Default Shawn from EA, can I install and pay for TWO copies of EF?

Well I just read that you can alternate between accounts/ change GameSpy nick for EF a max of three times per week.

I have two accounts- one for me and one for my brother- on this computer. Since we alternate frequently (more than 3x a week) I guess we would have to pay for a copy each.

How do I install (AND pay for) TWO copies of EF on my machine?

Please help. Thanks in advance!

Thinking on this, it seems this would be the easiest way:

1. login to ea with your ea account, buy EF, apply it to your BF2 name.

2. login to ea with your brothers ea account, buy EF, apply it to his BF2 name.

You shouldn't have to ever do anything again with it once you have it downloaded.

Ok, that would work. I have an EA account and a BF2 account, and he has his own EA account and BF2 account.

But what about installing the game onto the single computer? How would it install twice if the files are already there?

I'll be holding off on purchasing this one until things clear up and everything sorts out I guess...

Thanks for the speedy reply though?

One install should do the trick. If it doesn't then login to the downloader with each ea account to make sure. It may even let you download it again with the second once since it will look in a different cache directory.

Shawn,

What if I want to purchase this for someone and let them download it to their computer, can we do it the same way? I am trying to help someone get it that can not pay for it on line.

I wish I had a friend like you in a EA favorable country.... EA gives my country the finger.. So I guess will never ever do business with creeps like EA again

Yea, same thing would work, however be very aware that if you use your credit card on their ea.com that they may access some of your info.

I am not at all familiar with how easy it is to remove that info. Likely worth trying to see if you can remove your personal info from an ea.com before you try it.

Basically, I would never "officially" recommend this and never try this with someone you don't trust.

Ok, I'll try that if I decide to get the game. I'm debating whether or not to fork over $25 (Canadian, for two copies) for virtually less than half the content that SF had for $40.

Why would you guys make us pay double now (for 2 accounts) when the original BF2 and the expansion SF allowed us to have multiple accounts on the same PC without having to buy double copies of the game? I just don't understand, Shawn.

I certainly don't want to go off and rant about why the marketing and selling approach of this booster pack was very dumb, that's another story for another time.

Thanks for the help though!

EDIT: Oh, can I also use the same credit card for both EA.com accounts for me and my brother when I have to pay for the two copies of the game? Same name and address since it's the same card? I would have to use the same name because it's one credit card, but would that work? (pic from another thread): http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/8787/ea1nu.jpg

So true... If i were to play this at home with my two brothers as well we would end up having to spend 3x£6 in order to be able to play when we wanted to... Considering i paid £25 for BF2 that is a poor, customer unfriendly deal...

One more thing, I'm from Canada.

I heard some countries are not available to select from with the EA Downloader. Will Canada work?

What do I select for my "Region" in the grey box, and my "Country" under billing information- is Canada an option?

Once again, a pic from another thread that shows what I'm talking about (credit to that of the original poster): http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/8787/ea1nu.jpg

I know that you, Chemical, are having a problem with your country (Iceland) so that's why I'm asking about Canada because Shawn mentioned something about Canada too.

If only EA made this game purchaseable in stores. Problem solved. No EA Downloader issues, no country issues, no account issues, geez...

It will take weeks if it will ever come to stores.. EA has never said they will do that... They just enjoy giving the less important customers the middle FINGER..

I regret buying Betafield 2 and Not so Special Forces..

My arse hurts badly when I play it

I agree here. It should be tied to your games cd key and not your player account. I have two machines setup so friends can come over and use my second machine. I have 2 copies of every game that I play, one for each computer. Now, and this is the only game to do so, I cannot let the friends use their own player names because of the EF booster player name tie in.
