Default Is the medic G36E too much?

Does anyone else feel that the G36E combined with the medics heal abilities offer one class just a little too much power? I habitually play as a sniper and I honestly can't count the number of times a G36E has killed me at medium to long range. Combined with it's power at short range, it's all around the best assault weapon in the game. In all honesty, the G36E kills me faster at short range then the AK, F2000 or the G3. One 3rd burst is the same as a one shot kill, it happens time and time again.
On multiple occasions I've hit a medic running and he ducked behind cover while I had to wait out the completely unrealistic reload on the bolt rifles. He heals up and then sneaks around and starts shooting at me. Usually I end up hitting him but not a head hit. While I'm reloading again he will almost always kill me as I don't have the ability to self heal.
I'm by no means a poor shot and I routinely hit people running and get head hits. I just find that shoulders get hit more often then head hits when firing from an above angle at 100m or so. Could be related to the times you see someone with a puff of dust coming off their head but the shot doesn't register. Anyway, the point is that the medic rifle is accurate enough to act in a counter sniper role, while he has the ability to revive, heal and toss nades.

I think that as a medic he should have all his healing abilities but be running around with something like an MP5. The medic class has huge offense and huge defense abilities which no other class offers. I think they should be brought a bit more in line with the rest of the classes.

I find the L85A1 a hell of a better weapon than the G36E, personally.

I'm not saying either are overpowered in any sense, I'm just surprised you think the G36E is their best weapon to begin with.

L85A1 is a little tough for me to use because the recoil is pretty bad and i tend to shoot fast when i see an enemy.

I'd agree that the G36E is too much, just be thankfull you can't use Euro Forces FAMAS for the medic in vanilla.

Absolutely. The G36E defines Special Forces' "Pay to Win."

...and flashbangs.

I don't find the G36E to be overpowered, though. It's almost identical to the M16, and I still use the M16 when I'm USMC medic (although I mostly prefer the G36E over the AK101 so if I'm MEC I use it).

Chavr you're just plain wrong. One burst of 3 is not putting anyone down (unless of course a head shot.) Also because of the 3 shot burst it is a harder gun to control in close quarter combat. It does have some crazy power tho.

Well ... when you're a medic, you're more or less obligated to play where the action is intense because that's where your teammates are being injured / critically-wounded, so I'd argue it needs to be a robust class with a decent gun.

Any time you're rushing to a critically-wounded player, you can expect to encounter at least one enemy (if not more) and you need to be able to consistently and effectively defend yourself / put up a fight.

There are drawbacks to counter the power and accuracy of the G36E. Namely, the fact that a Medic is extremely vulnerable when moving to revive someone and is useless against armour (except when there's a TOW nearby).

So, yeah ... I think the G36E should be left alone. Considering the medic's role on the battlefield, its power and accuracy is apt.

I think the G36E is really balanced. Its probably because he has an itchy click finger... People can crazily just machine-gun that G36E so its kind of not your fault. the 36E is pretty good though IMO

No. The G36E is almost identical in all respects to the M16, the cone on burst may actually be a little bit worse...

I don't use unlocks anyways.

I love the g36e. Its great for CQC. Over Medium-Long Ranges I perfer the Post patch l58a1. The medic has such great assault rifles, because they need to run head long into battle taking out sometimes multiple enemies before getting the revive.
